We are thrilled to announce h Illinois Week for the Animals presented by Animal World USA will kick off again in 2024.

Calendar of Events page (there are 2 pages) is for events taking place across Illinois during this exciting Illinois Week for the Animals.
Throughout the week, educational institutions, animal shelters, rescue groups, and humane organizations across the state will be spotlighted with scores of wonderful animal-related special events. Educators, students, businesses and caring citizens will be joining in, creating and planning exciting activities to celebrate and help all animals.
Events will include adoption fairs, spay/neuter awareness events, shelter days, R.E.A.D. dog programs in libraries, activities for the farm animals and therapy dogs visiting hospitals and living-assisted homes.
Also to be included are a salute to our K-9 military and police dogs, ways to help chained dogs, advocacy events, educational programs, Blessings for the Animals, and fun-filled festival days for families to come and enjoy food, music and the always amazing animals!
